Hi! I am Alicia Amerson
I love adventure and exploration.
I love owning a business.
I love the ocean and all wildlife.
I am curious, it works well as a scientist!
I wrote a book and published a scientific paper in the same year.
I am a certified project manager (PMP) - I get Sh*t done!
Yoga, running, meditation, and dogs are my life sustaining forces.
And most of all...
I love helping women entrepreneurs stick with the most important investment they can make for growing their mind, hearts, and business - a CEO Day!
As a young adult I decided to go on my first solo travel expedition to Cozumel, Mexico where I completed my open water SCUBA.
After this adventure I headed to Costa Rica to volunteer on a whale and dolphin project with EarthWatch.
I had explored some of Europe, Mexico, Central America, and most of the US. I noticed one thing that no matter where I travelled the beaches, roads, and waterways were full of trash.
This inspired me to create adventures for myself to do good things for our communities and wildlife, I picked up trash on the beach. Then I started a small get-together called Mutts Against Butts.
We picked up over 6,500 cigarette butts while walking our mutts.
I found myself applying to graduate school at Scripps Institution of Oceanography to become a marine biologist and to further explore my options as an environmental project manager working in the ocean conservation field.
As a Master's student I arranged an entire research study where I completed a solo travel expedition to find out how whale-watching operations watch gray whales along the entire west coast of North America from Canada to Mexico.
Since graduating in 2015, I published my research and travelled to Australia twice to study whales.
My research focused on ecotourism, so my goal is to create experiences for other women that are green and just the right amount of adventure to feel like you've accomplished something big.
My love for the ocean and wildlife runs deep, and to make this all work I decided to use my project management background, wanderlust, and entrepreneurial spirit to create ways for women entrepreneurs to connect with the outdoors through strategic microadventures.
The microadventure is one habit I have adopted for myself. It is a short beach walk to consider my next strategy, it is a paddle board adventure on a Saturday morning to reflect what I truly desire, or an overnight adventure in the woods near San Diego where I sit by a fire.
Microadventures are so addicting I do them a few times per week. Small getaways to clear my mind and explore my beautiful city one street, yoga class, coffee shop, and beach at a time.
*Fun Fact: My first airplane flight was when I turned 21 years old!*
Your most exciting adventure is on the horizon and it is only a bike, hike, or paddle board away. Let me help you create a strategy day this is rewarding, challenging, and adventurous.
Honestly, I am so excited to meet you and start organizing your monthly CEO Day! Together we will create the perfect day for you to grow your mind, heart, and business. #shemicroadventures
